Avinode alternatives for charter brokers
Avinode is the marketplace many brokers use to source aircraft, and it's very good at that job. But sourcing is only one part of a booking — and it's why "Avinode alternative" is really two different questions. Are you replacing the marketplace, or filling in everything that happens after you've found the aircraft? This guide separates the two.
First, split "sourcing" from "running the deal"
A charter booking has two halves:
- Sourcing — finding available aircraft and getting operator prices. This is the marketplace half.
- Running the deal — turning those prices into a client quote, moving it through your pipeline, and producing the contract, invoice and flight brief.
Plenty of brokers who are happy with their sourcing still do the second half in a spreadsheet and a folder of templates. If that's the part that's slow, you may not need a marketplace alternative at all — you need a quoting and CRM layer to sit alongside it.
What to look for in either case
Quoting that keeps your margin private
Whatever tool you choose, the client should never see your cost or margin. Look for client-facing quotes and PDFs that show only the client price. Bonus points for multiple aircraft options on one quote and a live margin readout as you build it.
A pipeline, not an inbox
Deals should live on a board — request received, quote sent, contract, payment, closed — with follow-ups so nothing goes cold. This is the piece a marketplace usually doesn't cover.
Documents from deal data
Contract with e-signing, pro-forma invoice and flight brief, all generated from the same deal so you never re-type a client name or a price. This alone saves the most time.
Pricing that fits how you work
Per-seat and per-aircraft fees add up. If you run a small brokerage, a free tier that covers real quoting lets you prove the tool before you commit to a subscription.
EU hosting and data protection
For brokers in Europe, EU hosting and encryption of sensitive fields (passport numbers, dates of birth) is worth confirming up front.
Charterfile is the "run the deal" half
Multi-aircraft quotes with live margin, a full pipeline, and contract, pro-forma and flight-brief documents from deal data — with your branding and your margin kept private. Free while in beta, for brokers and operators.
Request beta accessWhere Charterfile fits
Charterfile is a quoting and CRM platform for charter brokers and operators. It doesn't replace a sourcing marketplace — it takes over once you have operator prices in hand: building the client quote, running the pipeline, and generating the paperwork. Many brokers use it alongside their existing sourcing, and operators use the same tools to quote brokers and direct clients. It's free while in beta, hosted in the EU, and set up with airports, aircraft performance and price calibration already loaded.
How to decide
Be honest about which half is actually costing you time. If sourcing is the bottleneck, evaluate marketplaces on inventory and coverage. If it's everything after — the re-typing, the chasing, the templates — a dedicated quoting and CRM layer will do more for your day than switching marketplaces. Often the best setup is both: keep the sourcing you trust, and add the tool that runs the deal.
